Pepe Vieira, a renowned restaurant awarded two Michelin stars, now has a wine list with more than 400 references.

This wine list is a tribute to the journey to Santiago de Compostela, divided into two distinct parts. The first part takes wine lovers on a fascinating journey, exploring several stops that highlight the production of distinct wine regions. The second part is a comprehensive cataloguing of all available references.

The first part of the wine list takes the customer on a journey from Germany to beautiful Galicia, with several memorable stops along the way. Each stop is represented by a detailed map, highlighting the main wine-producing regions. With an approach that combines text and illustration, embodying Pepe Vieira’s unique philosophy, focused on a regional atmosphere that pays homage to its roots. The design of the list is imbued with the imagery of the Galician people and, in addition, shows the various characteristics of the wines, their producers, as well as the production method.

This project was inspired by the Camino de Santiago de Compostela route, mainly by the landscapes and the many pilgrims who walk along them, giving it the characteristic regional touch, as well as a modern touch that this restaurant has. The way in which the written part is sectioned together with the illustrations throughout the menu show this: a division into chapters almost as if they were stages and a quick drawing almost like a sketch of the passage. To emulate the feeling of being a traveling pilgrim, taking notes and, of course, eating and drinking, this also gives the menu a more intimate personality.

This approach provides a unique experience that allows the customer to feel like an exploring pilgrim, immersed in the wonderful wine universe.
